The Georgia/Carolina Pipetrades Association
Apprentices must complete a 5-year program which consists of 1200+ hours of instructional training and 8,500 to 10,000 hours of on-the-job training before they can complete our program and be certified as a Journeymen. There is no tuition debt at the end of the program! It is the opposite. You will earn a living wage while you acquire the skills and certifications to be highly skilled in your chosen field.
Our apprenticeship programs start with courses in basics like mathematics, science, drafting, welding and others. During your program you will choose a career path as a plumber, pipefitter/welder or HVACR technician. Your class requirements will be tailored based on your path. These classes are taught by our certified instructors who went through the same program and received additional/ongoing training to be instructors.
In the end this high-tech, cutting edge training ensures that apprentices who complete the 5-year program will have a career path that provides good wages, generous benefits, as well as opportunities that range from project management to owning their own business.
